About Annie Bousfield
I’m Annie and I live in North Yorkshire, having moved up from London with my family over 20 years ago. I work as a podiatrist doing home visits and as I drive around the countryside I’m inspired by the lovely scenes and colours, and I stop to take photos that I can paint from particularly in the good early or evening light.
I started off as a small business making hand-painted greetings cards for people and my love for painting has since grown; I now sell my paintings and cards in outlets in North Yorkshire and Northumberland as well as online. I also love painting commissions of people’s favourite views, many for special occasions, and these tend to be acrylic on canvas. My larger paintings are usually mounted in hand-made wooden frames, all crafted and painted by my husband John.
My studio is my conservatory overlooking the garden and it has now been pretty much taken over for this my passion.
I am a strong believer in following your dream whatever it is, we aren’t on this planet for very long so go for it if it makes you happy.
